Patchwork cushion

A couple of months ago I was lucky enough to buy a complete patchwork cushion kit from a charity shop for 50p.

It had everything with it to make a cushion cover including backing fabric, and paper hexagons.

And now it's finished! I tried to put a zip in it, but I'm not quite happy with that, so I'll probably be taking that out and try again.

  3. It's beautiful! I've totally fallen in love with hexagons from all the pretty paper piecing you've been doing lately ;) I'm trying to screw up enough courage to give it a go myself, LOL! Good luck with the zipper, they are very tricky things indeed. I'm no good at them either. If that doesn't work, maybe a button flap might?

    1. Thanks! It's really very simple, but you can make the most amazing things, just give it a go, it's hard to go wrong.

You gave me a great idea, I think I'm going to replace the zip with some poppers!

    2. Well thank you very much indeed! *blushes* I greatly appreciate the encouragement ;) After the SAL is over, I just might give it a go!

I thrifted a bag of odds and ends ages ago that had little packs of pre-cut fabric squares, and I'm wondering if maybe that's what they were meant for now. That or patchwork, I guess. Either way, it would be nice to use them!

I'm so glad I was able to help, that's a great idea :) Also, then you don't have to worry about the tab of the zipper catching in things and pulling open too, which is always a plus!
