Stitched Stories: A Tale of Subversive Stitchers

Stitched Stories: a tale of subversive stitchers from Northern Productions on Vimeo.

Here's a video worth watching! The short documentary is about two different 'subversive' stitching communities. It looks at Fine Cell Work, an organisation that allows those in the UK's jails to use their time to work on needlecraft, allowing them to develop skills, to use their time usefully and to earn some money while in prison. It also looks at the 'Craftivist' movement, which combines craft with activism, an interesting way of getting your word out there.

It's an interesting look at different ways of using needlework and is quite inspiring. I hope you enjoy it too.
