I did do a little work over the last month or so on Klimt's Tree of Life, and the Mystic Dragon.
I hope you had a good month, and have been able to work more on your WIPs than I have!

Joan Elliot's Dragon Dreams finished
I finished Dragon Dreams by Joan Elliott, available from Cross-Stitching.com. I think I stitched him up quite quickly as I really did enjoy him.
He's not finished as in the pattern says he's finished, as he's supposed to have a castle outline back-stitched behind him and some French knots on his flanks and wings, but I think he' looks better without.
I used all the recommended threads, except for the metallics, I used some Madeira threads I had lying around.

October IHSW
Last weekend was International Hermit and Stitch Weekend, and after months I finally participated again.
This weekend I worked on my dragon. The only before picture I have is in my TUSAL post.
He's almost done now. I just need to figure out what (if any) DMC thread to use instead of Kreinik #4 Purple Mambo. Any ideas?
I also stitched up one of my Christmas stars.

The photo doesn't really show how nice the purple and the silver look together, but I'm very pleased with it!

Holiday time!
Off to the UK for me and my boyfriend today. We're going to Ipswich first, to see his family, and then to Birmingham to see my mum. It's been over a year since I've been back to England, and I am excited!
Above is the little kit I put together for myself to make while I'm away. I'm going to be stitching Dragon Dreams by Joan Elliott. It's a free chart from Cross-Stitching.com (you have to have (also free) membership to download it).
I will be gone for two weeks, but I have a couple of posts scheduled to come up, so you won't miss me too much!
Fingers crossed they won't take my scissors at security!

Wipocalypse 10
Yes, I actually worked a little on one of my Wipocalypse pieces! A little more of the dragon's wings got done this month.
In other news, my boyfriend and I went into the newly opened pawn shop down the road and bought a load of Game Boy Advance games (and one Game Boy game!). They were selling them for dirt cheap, so we got a bit over excited.
This was us being restrained!

IHSW February
I got a bit more of Mythical Dragon done this IHSW. I also finished a small piece of my own design, but I couldn't get a decent picture of it, so you'll have to wait until I can take one in daylight.
Cross stitching has still been on a bit of a back burner of late. I've been working a lot on Pixelhobby, and have opened a shop on Etsy, to earn a bit of pocket money.

Calmed down a bit.
I've calmed down a bit. I managed to not go on a crazy spending spree and have decided to wait until I actually get paid. Fortunately for me I'll be paid weekly, so I don't have to wait too long. I did buy some threads and fabric from J.J.'s Collectables, but their sale won't last until I get paid so I think that's allowed.
Since my boyfriend's been gone I have been working on Mythical Dragon again.
The top half's nearly done and I've been getting excited about this stitch again.
Also, any of you who like games should got and buy the Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle. This includes Frozen Synapse, Trauma and SpaceChem and for SpaceChem alone it's worth getting, that game is seriously addictive. It's for charity, you pay what you want (and decide how the money is divided) and if you pay more than $4.77 you get another five games with it.
Right now I have a terrible headache, I'm tired, it's raining and cold and I feel like curling up in bed and sleeping, but I think I'll end up playing SpaceChem instead.

Klimt & Dragon
A small update on Klimt, I think I've done perhaps 100 stitches since I last posted.
I think that the shutter speed it to slow on my camera, because everything comes out all washed out, so I've had to do some fiddling with the colours in GIMP. Hopefully I'll remember how to change the settings on this camera soon, it has been ages since I've used it properly.
I've not been stitching very much the last few days (a touch of depression creeping in), but I still haven't really put Mystical Dragon down. Now his face is finished and his wings are about half way done. I think the border is going to be the most tedious part.
Today I went in to town and went into a craft shop I had not been in before because I kept forgetting about it. They had some lovely scissors. I've also being eyeing up the beautiful scissors of some of you bloggers, so since they were not too dear I was naughty and got a pair.
I think I would have gotten a pair of each if I had had the money! Now at least I have a pair for each project box, so I don't have to look for my scissors each time I switch projects.

Mythical Dragon update
I've been addicted to this stitch since I started and I have harldy stopped working on it.
And just to show you that I am still nerdy, as I haven't been doing much video game related stitching lately, this is the tin that I keep all the dragon stuff in:
They had empty trading card tins in the comic book shop, so I had to get one for my stitching stuff. I had to choose Raikou as I love electric type Pokémon.

Sonic bookmark
My boyfriend came of from England to visit me for a week while my family were away on holiday in France. We had a lovely time, and I was very sad to see him go this morning.
Friday was his birthday, and he had been asking for a new bookmark, so I stitched him another one.
It's a bit longer than a traditional bookmark, because I didn't take any measurments and didn't notice it would be until halfway through 'continue'. But it'll work for graphic novels and larger books.
I said a couple of weeks ago that I was getting some stuff from JJ's Collectables, as they were having a sale. Yesterday my parcel arrived!
I got this dragon kit from Janlynn. I started on it today. I was a bit worried about using the blending filament, as I never have used any before, and I thought it might be a lot like metallic thread, but it is ok, and doesn't really make a difference to my stitching.
This is all I did and it took me 1.5 episodes of CSI.
I also got this Lizzie Kate kit (well, it includes everything but the thread).
I also got some gold plated needles, and I'm excited to try them out on my Epic Pokémon pattern.
Speaking of which, I got a bit of that done this week while my boyfriend was playing Bomberman.
I know it's hard to see what's actually been done, which is why I upload all my Pokémon photos to a Facebook album, so I can just flick through them.
