MCM London Comic Con

On Friday, Michael and I went off to the Comic Con. The day started off a bit poorly, with us getting soaked on the way to the railway station. Fortunately we were mostly dried off by the end of the hour train journey to London.

There was lots to see and lots to do, with plenty of games to try out and places to spend your money. It wasn't a terribly busy day, probably because it was a Friday, and the convention was only open 2pm - 7pm, but this was nice as there were no long queues.

Here's Michael playing Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.  The game was a lot of fun, and one I'll be putting on my wish list. I also played Rayman Legends on the WiiU, I will definitely be getting it if we get a WiiU.

I was very good with my money and only bought a couple of things.

The cute bag was a must-have from the TokyoToys stall.

And these sweet keyrings are handmade from Retr8bit, who I will be writing a bit about on Sprite Stitch soon.

This is just a small snippet of everything there was to see. There was a great little Steampunk exhibition, loads of Japanese food and toy stalls, some second hand game stalls, cake stalls and pretty much anything else you would want to see.

  2. I went on the saturday and the queues were absolutely horrendous, it took 2 hours to get in and then it was just so busy that we could hardly move. I went to a couple of the panel talks, one about writing for TV and film and the other was based around the fairy tale show 'Once Upon a Time'. Glad to see you bought a couple of cute things, I think next time I might try and go on the friday instead, it looks much more enjoyable!

    1. It took me and Michael's brother 45 minutes to get in. Michael on the other hand had a press pass, and just waltzed in after queuing for five minutes to get it. ¬_¬

The Friday didn't have as many panels and other events going on. I think the best thing to do, and what I would like to do in the future is stay the weekend, and go in on the Friday to look at all the stalls and play the games and then use the other two days to go to the panels and what-not and not be rushed about because of the crowds.

  3. Looks like a lot of fun, your goodies are so cute :) You'll have to let us know when you get your post up at SS, I'd love to read it! I have friend who is a Mario addict, she's considering the new Wii, but I'm stuck back in the good old NES days, LOL :)
